A list of frequently asked questions is shown below. Click on the relevant question to expand and view the answer. If you cannot locate the specific answer to your question then please contact us directly. Contact details can be found on the Contacts page.

My Password is incorrect?

If you have forgotten or lost your password, please click on the 'Forgotten Password?' link on the Login page. From here please answer the preceding security and known information questions, clicking next step when finished.

Once your identity has been confirmed you will be able to set a new password.

How can I edit my personal details?

Once you have successfully logged in you will be able to edit your personal details within the "Your Details" page.

How do I change my password?

Once you have successfully logged in you will be able to change your password within the "Your Account" page. Please ensure you save changes when finished.

How much do I pay?

The contributions vary according to which Scheme or section that you are a member of. You will need to refer to the Active pages of the Scheme of which you are a member for exact details. These contributions are deducted from your pay before you are assessed for income tax, so that you pay less tax than you would if you were not in the Scheme.

What should I do if my account is disabled?

If your account is disabled, you can use the 'Forgotten Password' process available from the Login page to unlock it.

If you are still unable to log into MSS, please contact your administrator.

What is Two-Factor Authentication?

If you’re a member, you will need to set up Two-Factor Authentication to be able to log into this website. This adds an additional level of security.

To get it working, you’ll need to choose between receiving codes by text message or from an authenticator app.

If using text messages, you'll need to have a mobile phone to receive them.

If using an app, you'll need to choose one to download, and then set it up using the instructions on this site. Once clicking the ‘enable Two-Factor Authentication’ button and then choosing ‘Yes’ to enable, click on the Authenticator App button and use your app to scan the QR code shown there. Your app will then tell you it has added an account, and show a code which will change every several seconds. Entering the code on the website completes setup.

The next time you log into this website with your username and password, you will be prompted for the latest code for this account on your authenticator app to continue.

Why have I received an email from the Compendia Team?

Compendia is the name of EQ’s pension administration software and your UKAEA benefits use a version called Compendia Touch. If you log into MSS using a new device this will generate an alert from the Compendia Team who monitor access to MSS. This alert is generated from within EQ and both MSS and Compendia are managed by EQ.
